U.S. Grant is a 6-week summer academic program that brings ~60 local middle schoolers to Yale’s campus to engage in courses taught by Yale students, both in STEM and the humanities. US Grant reached out to OpenLabs to organize enrichment activities at Dwight Hall. The middle schoolers were divided into groups and rotated across different activities, with graduate student volunteers staffing the various stations, showcasing demos and explaining the underlying science to the students.
